Founded in September 2012, the update of EMD (Exact Match Domain) is a filter used by Google to prevent poor sites from satisfactorily positioning because they have words that match the search terms in their domains. By the time a handsome EMD update occurs, sites that have improved their content can restore outstanding rankings. New sites that contain defective content or all previously missed by Google EMD updates can be recorded. Similarly, "false positives" can also be unloaded.
According to Matt Cutts, EMD expects to reduce the areas of "poor quality" exact match in search results.
